Perspective with one vanishing point

Lines that run away from you meet in one point on the horizon line. With that rule you draw a street, a corridor or a room with depth.

First stage of secondary school12 to 14 yearsDraft: Not yet checked by an art teacher.

Why

Why do the two railway tracks seem to meet in the distance, when they are the same distance apart everywhere?

Things far away look smaller. That is why parallel lines running away from you seem to move towards each other.

Artists turned that into a rule. With a ruler, a horizon line and a single point, you draw a space that really looks deep.
